With head coach Jordan living his whole life in this area we have a massive connection to the west and know the landscape.
Growing up and training with Waitakere United, West Auckland’s football identity of grittiness, dedication and togetherness was cemented as they fought for superiority with Auckland City FC. These traits have stood the test of time with clubs Bay Olympic, West Coast Rangers, Oratia, Te Atatu, Waitamata and Ranui Swanson all known for their “dogged” desire and work effort, showing the hardworking and committed character of the area. Smaller, unsung teams in the areas are seen in West Auckland AFC, Lynn Avon AFC and Glen Eden United.
